1 1/4 Pressing

1 1/4 pressing executions add and extra 1/4 or 25% work to every rep. Typically the lower quarter of a pressing movement range of motion is the weakest section of an exercise. As a result we will add extra emphasis to correct this weakness.


1 1/4 Press

The extra 1/4 increases the time length of each set which helps to support muscle growth or body fat loss goals depending on the individual client needs.

Training the bottom 1 1/4 of a pressing movement can increase strength levels dramatically. For example an athlete aiming to improve the bench press typically fails towards the bottom of the movement which indicates a weak link. 1 1/4 pressing can be an effective tool for fixing the weakness.
