Chest Supported NG Row

Place your chest against a 30 degree incline bench with your feet firmly planted into the floor. NG stands for neutral grip and this means that the palms will face each other. The objective should be to pull the dbs to the area around the hip and now the rib cage. This particular execution is very helpful for fixing many common weaknesses.

Example tempo execution. 3-2-1-2

The first number is always the negative which in the case will be lowering the weight from the top with the arms going nearly straight on bottom. Leave five degrees of flexion in the elbow to prevent joint stress. At the bottom position pause for 1 second. Bring the load back up to the top in 1 second. Finally hold a 2 second pause on top with the muscles fully contracted. Imagine squeezing a grape between the shoulder blades.
