Rope Lat Pull Down
Utilizing a triceps rope for lat pull downs attached to a high cable pulley is excellent for functional grip strength. Scott Mendelson explains the execution and benefits of this exercise during a video demonstration. Bring the elbows to the bottom of the rib cage for a full range of motion.
The expanded range of motion on the bottom of the exercise allows for a higher quality contraction than a lat pull down using a bar for example. The elbows are not able to travel through a full range of motion when using the bar as it stops at the chest.
