Fat Loss Training

Certain training protocols will accelerate fat loss. Contrary to popular belief, weight training can be more effective than cardio workouts for fat loss. Weight training burns more calories and raises metabolism to a higher level than any other form of exercise if done properly. Many trainees tell me they are afraid to lift weights because they do not want to get too big. These people fail to understand that you will not develop bulky muscles overnight. Women, in particular, fear looking like professional female bodybuilders. This is will not be a problem! The extraordinarily developed women on tv and in many magazine advertisements may be using dangerous anabolic agents to induce their muscular development.

More Muscle= More Calories Burned

My customized fat loss training programs may also cause muscle gain. The added muscle can contribute to general health and increased metabolism. Individuals with more muscle have higher metabolism rates, even at rest. Muscle burns calories 24 hours per day. Furthermore, I know many muscular women who are not bulky. They sport smaller waist measurements than their average female counterparts who are less muscular.

It is obvious that few people understand how to adapt weight-training protocols to accelerate fat loss. Too many people rely only on cardio workouts to lose fat because they associate a high heart rate with burning fat. There is some correlation, but other issues are more important. Weight training can also get your heart rate up when performing proper fat loss training routines. These routines require you to be very active because the rest periods are very short. I have experience with training methods that can produce great results quickly. Leave nothing to chance; know that all of your hard work will produce your desired results. The key to good results is working hard and smart!

Cardiovascular exercise has been the staple of many trainee fat loss programs. Cardio does have its merits, but it does not do what many think. A proper fat loss training program can create a better cardiovascular training effect than most 5-mile runs. Certain weight training methods can get the heart rate up and keep it up.

Cardio can be beneficial for many trainees if done correctly. A 60-minute walk on the treadmill can create a catabolic hormonal environment or muscle wasting. Increased levels of catabolic hormones such as cortisol can actually cause a person to deposit more fat in trouble areas such as the stomach and hips.

Certain cardio procedures will help with fat loss. I implement these techniques with clients at the proper time in their training cycle. Do not get me wrong! Cardio can be a great tool, but only if it is appropriate for the individual situation of the trainee.

Nutrition plays a vital role in the fat loss process. Check out my nutrition consultation section for more details. Do not stumble along with your own guesswork. I will design a comprehensive fat loss training and nutrition plan that can help you reach your fitness goals!
