We are a society obsessed with the mid section in one way or another. While some desire jaw dropping looks, others want to excel in sports and many just want to rid themselves of back pain, a leading cause of doctor visits in this nation. I am here to tell you that there is not an easy answer per sae, but the results you seek can be earned if you are armed with the right information. I have extensively researched evaluation and training methods to create an attractive mid section that is both functional and resistant to injury.
The marketplace continues to seek a one size fits all answer, but this does not exist in this particular arena. Wouldn't you agree that a person must determine their individual needs and prioritize weaknesses to earn the best results?
Test Your Abs! Idenitfy the WeaknessI am offering you three easy to conduct mid section strength tests that you can view on this site with expert audio instruction. Click HERE to see these clips and email me for a free evaluation system work sheet SCOTT. These tests will take a few minutes out of your day, but can lead to a life time of happiness and health when you discover your individual needs. Notice that the human machine seeks to preserve health long before looking good on the beach. As a result your system will seek to protect weak musculatures such as the abs by shutting off recruitment and forcing other muscles such as the hip flexors to do all of the work. Poor recruitment leads to poor results, you can do a million crunches, but a weak link in the mid section will prevent you from earning the goals that you seek. Prioritize your weaknesses and get on the path to success, NOW! Ab Training Fallacies:1.Crunches Alone will build the mid section of your dreams
99% of the population is taking the wrong approach to midsection training because of popular myths created to push commercialized interests. Consider that this nation has done millions if not billions of crunches and only a few have emerged with the results they crave. Why have so many failed? Not due to a lack of effort or dedication of resources! The two most common mistakes involve neglecting certain movement patterns and training abdominal muscles with inappropriate sets and rep protocols. Your trunk supports three basic movement planes for our purposes here. The rotational and lower abdominal movement planes have been completely ignored in favor of the standard sit up motion, which is only one piece of the puzzle.
1. ALL Three Abdominal Movement Planes that must be trained for the best RESULTS
Let's discuss realities for a moment. 9 out of 10 people will experience some sort of back pain during their life. Problems can range from debilitating to uncomfortable, but none the less back pain is one of the leading reasons for a doctor's office visit in this nation. I will state for the record that many back injuries are related to poor abdominal and lower back strength and can be prevented with an appropriate training program. Flexibility and posture also play a big roll in this phase of the game. My goal is to arm you with the tools vital for improving abdominal endurance needed to maintain proper posture and movement patterns in your daily life, job, and competitive venue. I am presenting a strategy that can and will deliver on its promises. A Level 1 customized program can be designed for you to be conducted at your own pace. First we determine and correct your weaknesses with effective testing procedures found HERE in the digital video section. Simultaneously we will increase midsection strength and definition with sensible routines done without equipment. The Level 2 Program is appropriate for advanced trainees who are ready to face incredible training challenges on their way to awesome results! A magical pill does not exist, but I will promise you that smart work with the right strategies will bring you to your full potential.
